Which springs has lowest drop?

Interested in purchasing some srpings from the rx7store website. Which of these has the lowest drop Eibach, HR, Racing beat or RSR. Also which one is the stiffest?
Thanks
Joseph

Maybe you could email the rx7store and ask them?

Are you using stock or aftermarket rims?

Out of the ones you listed, the Eibachs will give a lower setting in the front than the others, but the H&R will have a slightly lower drop in the rear. I believe all of those springs are linear rates besides the H&R which are progressive rate. The RSR Race Springs will be the stiffest of the bunch, but will only lower the car about .4" front and rear.

Are you after performance or looks?

Also, what shocks are you using, stock or aftermarket?

I've heard of the stock shocks not working well with very high spring rated springs. I've never seen proof of this myself, so take it with a grain of salt until someone else with more knowledge pops in.

I think unless you have koni's, and can adjust the rear down a bit, you'll be disappointed w/ the Eibach's... they barely lower the rear at all and slam the front... it looks dorky.

Most everyone seems to love the H&R's, though i've never used them.

I think he is set on ordering from the RX7store and they don't carry Tein's at the moment.

Currently I'm using stock rims, springs and shocks. I'm after looks as in a drop that'll look low and even (front and back). I won't get rims till I'm done with my engine! So I'll be a so called "sleeper" until I get a nice set of rims.

How good are those Koni shocks?? They are pretty cheap. But hows the quality and tunability campared to HKS and Apexi etc..???

You most likely won't get the "look" you are after from just springs. The closest you'll come will be the Tein S-Tech springs. They drop the car over 1.5" with a stiff spring rate.

The problem will be trying to put bigger wheels on a lowered car. You'll need probably one or more of the following:

1. rolled fenders
2. Koni adjustable perch
3. coilovers

Coilovers are expensive, but they'll give you the adjustability you'll want to lower your car as much as possible without rubbing. Many people have gone with a Tokico Shock/Ground Control coilover setup. Something like that can be done for under $1000.

Here are some pictures to compare:

Tokicos with Tein S-Tech Springs (Red FD on the right, FD on the left Red/Copper is Tokico/Ground Control coilover):

I love my RS*R springs. Stiff, but not teeth shattering. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a real "go kart" feel w/o having to buy coilovers.

I have the RS*R "race" springs on my car (got them from rx7store) with Koni's set on the softest setting and they have been a great addition to my car. IMHO - they are probably about as stiff a spring as you shoud run on the Koni's. I am running 255/40-17 on the front and 275/40-17 on the rear and they only rub on a serious pothole. These springs do drop the rear more than the front IMHO. My front fenders are rolled.

Take a look at the space between the wheels and the fender in the front. The rear isn't lowered all that much much it makes a bigger difference if you see a stock setup side by side. It does make the stock setup look like a 4x4.
