whell i decided to keep the suspension i bought and was wondering is the spring compressor something u can buy from pepboys or something or only mechs have them?

Sometimes bigger stores will loan or rent them to you. They aren't that expensive but they do end up sitting around a lot once you use them one time. There are a few different kinds some for macpherson struts some that go up inside the spring and some that are in pairs that grab the outside of the spring on each side.

Kragen, Autozone, etc. should have them and will lend them out as long as you pay a deposit which is refunded when returned. I suggest you use an impact gun when compressing the springs, or you'll be there all day with hand tools.
