Spirit R BBS rims
I did speak with BBS about the wheel fitment for the FD. I found compelling offsets on the BBS japan website. The RG-R would be your best bet.
If you're interested I can speak with BBS again and see where it leads. I recall these being a special order item and it's cheapest to have them add it to a stocking shipment, thereby avoiding air freight.
Peace, Rishie
I just did some RG-R's for a supercharged Jetta and we hooked him up for around the mid thousand dollar range. Can't remember exactly. Should be able to get them for around $2000.00 plus or minus a couple bucks for the FD.
Shoot me the offsets and widths for the spirit R and I'll cross reference them with the RG-R.

Rishie,
If you are able to find the RG-R in suitable 18" sizes (as in 18x8.5 to 9" front, and 18x9.5 to 10 rear) and usable offsets, please post em! When I saw them at the ALMS race, they were damned impressive. Heres one of the few pics i've ever found of them:

I assume the BBS guy gave me accurate info that they ARE forged and that the 18x9.5 should be in the 18 lb range (i never know if i should believe those guys!)
Thanks for all the info you provide to indecisive ****'s like me!

Hey NODE, hmmm no pirellis eh? Oh well at least we have 2 things in common (BBS and 7's), and 2 outta 3 ain't half bad!
Seriously though I'm N/A (I love N/A engines, but appreciate a great turbo or s/c) and that car starts out with 15" wheels (5 lug). I don't want my wheels too large because of the acceleration (despite the handling benefits because there are ways around that), as well as I'm quite the aero stickler and I KNOW that 8-9" wheels will cause significantly more drag than a 7" wheel. The setup that I spoke of is 16x7 (fr) and 17x7 (rr) on P215/50VR16 (fr) and P225/45WR17 (rr). They are within a half inch from the stock size (thus they won't affect acceleration much and the 16 is actually a tad bit smaller) and will have great handling benefits for a very minimal amount of extra drag. They also give the car a bit more of a rear bias (which I like since it starts with a slight understeer because the front track on the FC is 10mm wider anyway). But damn if those BBS RXs aren't tempting me to just go with that instead (I was thinking Konig Ziege). I can get them in the same size for the front wheels (16x7), BUT the rears would have to be 17x7.5 (and a hefty $265 per wheel) the offsets are 30 and 35 (the Konigs are 40). I've also been looking at the Konig GT-R wheels (VERY nice looking and 5 spoke which I love), they have the offset that I would need (40). They're pretty well priced ($481 for the set I need)...what more could I ask for (except BBS wheels in gunmetal in a 40 offset sized 16x7 and 17x7
).
BTW anybody find that wheel offset?

A quck look at the BBS japan (they have nice wheels there!) site shows:
RG-R for the rear:
18x9 +45, 18x9.5 +38, 18x10+42.
Is 9.5+38 or 10+42 enough? I wouldn't want 9's

I think it's around a +35 on the 15", and +40 on the 16".
The 18,10 will work, but we should really isolate what tire sizes you want to run and based on that we can approach the wheel width issue.
I spoke again with BBS and I can place these on a stocking order to save on freight. I'll be in constant contact and will time it out so we are always placing orders on their incoming shipments from Japan. I will receive a reply tommorrow from Georgia. lol.
Check my new vendor section as all these things will be posted as a permanent thing for our community. Timing is of the essence and I'm sure if we all cooperate and have good timing we can have whatever we want from BBS.
Peace, Rishie
On the 10" you might have to roll your fenders. I know we did on 18,10 +38 but it looked beautiful. The rear fender lip is massive on the FD, kinda like the miata. lol.

Kiyokix,
Let me know what it is you're looking for or what you need the offset info for. I've owned several, I mean several FC's in my time and know the wheel recipe in and out.
I can eliminate a lot of your time if you give me an idea of what you're trying to do.
