Spirit R BBS rims

Where can I get these? Ive been looking and searching for the past hour and a half at least for a shop for these. I dont want the BBS rx's or anything, I want the actual ones that have the mazda logo in them. Any ideas where I could find a store with these?

Trust me, Ive searched to high heaven and back, I know there is one, I just cant find it right now....

Thanks everyone

you can probably get them from Jason@jt-imports, as he has access to rarer items. Be prepared to pay outrageous prices for them though, as they are very new (expensive to the point of not worth it).
Good luck

Last time I checked you can get them at www.tirerack.com or try this;
http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_gara...&autoYear=1993

There's probably nicer looking rims and more expensive rims out there. If you're going for the '99 spec look, go for it!

The ones at tirerack look the same but are actually different than the real Spirit R rims. The american rims are cast, and the spirit r ones are forged.
They look alike though. I like them as well. Definitely get it in gunmetal.

If i'm not mistaken, the Spirit R rims are BBS RG-R wheels that have JUST become available in the states (tire rack may have them if you call)... they are forged with that smoke-chrome finish. I assume the Spirit R's are 17", because i don't think the RG-R is available in suitable offsets in 18"

Actually the Spirit R rims are BBS RXs. I have a set on my car. They are identical and the only difference between them is the center caps.

No the Spirit R wheels are definitely RG-Rs, though the type RZ BBSs are slightly different and were a Mazda only model.

Must be some damn exclusive center caps on those rims! You could buy almost 2 full sets of the BBS for that $.

The RG-Rs and the RXs are basically the same wheel aside from how they are made. I wasn't really aware of the RG-Rs until now.

Heres are both wheels side by side.

RG-Rs

RXs

They look almost identical IMO. Sorry for the confusion.

Here are the Spirit R BBS.

I see little if no difference between them and my RXs. Can anyone fill me in on the differences?

It appears that the spokes on the spirit-r wheels are more curved, the other wheels spokes appear flat, or it may just be an optical-confusion!! regardless, they are just toooo! expensive!!!

doesnt look like they're RG-R's
The RG-R's look like they have a deeper center. probably only because of the offset. So nevermind

Anyways BBS wheels like this get me hot and bothered. God I love them!

What're some good sites with good prices on BBS Wheels?

I'm almost positive that they are RX's rather than RG-Rs. My wheels are identical to the Spirit Rs pictured.

Does someone KNOW (not think) which wheel it is?

They can't be EXACTLY the same as RXs because the Mazda wheels come in 17x8.5 with 50mm offset for the rear and 17x8 with 50mm offset for the front. Since RXs do not come in 8.5" width, and I believe they also only have something like 40mm offset, they are not the same. No idea if the Mazda versions are forged or different in some other way (they definitely look identical no question about that), but they are definitely custom made for the Spirit R and not off the shelf wheels with Mazda centercaps.

Thanks for clearing things up. I started getting confused.

I'd rather get the RXs anyway. I know I purchased them for a HELLUVA lot cheaper than $3650 so I can't complain.

Node, I'm with you on the hot and bothered BBS deal. Check out http://www.treadepot.com I'm thinking of saying screw the Konig's and getting the BBS RX wheels. Nothing compares to BBS wheels with Pirelli tires, the ultimate setup...made in heaven baby!

BBS RX wheels...RX7, I think the 2 letters are no coincidence . Hell I'm even thinking of scrapping the whole setup that I've been trying to work out for months now and getting these wheels in 16x7 size! Anyone know what the stock FC wheel offset is? I really don't remember?!?

dunno bout pirellis, but im definately with you on BBS
16x7? why, thats what stock turbo wheels are.
You can fit 8" up front and 9" in the back
Are you N/A or turbo? Cause 9" in the rear would be overkill

Problem w/ BBS wheels is, they really don't make their wheels in good sizes for our cars... most of they're good forged wheels (like the RC or the RGR) won't fit. I remember speaking to a BBS rep at the ALMS race here in DC, and he told me they had RGRs up to 18x9.5", but not in offsets we need (+45 or so). They were all volkswagen/bmw offsets, like +10-20.

I'd kill for a set of 18x9.5 RGRs, but the most i could do is a 17x8 or 18x7.5 (or thereabouts). Sucks, cuz they are AWESOME in person.
