sorry, need help quick. Koni adj and H&R ???

I posted this in the suspension forum also but i need the answer relativley quickly and that place is a ghost town sometimes.

I'm having Koni Yellows and H&R's installed today on my FD. Question is, do the H&R's drop a true 1.25 F&R ?
and, what notch do I have the perches set on front and rear ? I'm looking for a pretty even ride height and am just curious what other people have done with this similar set up. I tried searching, but couldnt come up with the first question.

Thanks

From what I have read. the H&R drop 1.25. But I have also heard that the front left and right ride height may vary. Not sure about the Koni ??

All I could find was this -

Front - one half turn back from full hard - track
one half turn from soft - street
Back - set in the middle -track
one half turn from full soft - street

These settings were used with Eibach spring back in Oct/2001 from Coulthard Fan.

When I had Konis w/ Eibachs(1 in front and back) I had the rear perch in the middle and the front on the very top. This produced almost no fender gap at all. Since the H&Rs are lower, you will have no gap at all.

As for street ride, full soft on Koni is way stiffer than the stock struts, so I recommend full soft for the street. Any stiffer is just too much.

My MP3 player would skip while going over the freeway lane dividers. When I put the stock struts back on with the Eibachs, no more skipping and the ride was incredibly smoother.

Oh yeah, the front left will sag cause there is more weight on that side. You could probably balance that out by dropping the front right perch to the middle. I will try that one day.

I have the yellow Koni's on my car, but Im not sure which springs are installed (previous owner installed the shocks). He had the spring perch (sp?) set at the bottom slot. My front 245/45-16 tires would bottom out & rub the fender liner. I moved the perch to the center slot & it seamed to help the rubbing issue.
I just switched over to 17" wheels & am back scrapping the liner on the fronts during moderate turns
Im probably going to move the perch once again to the top slot.
Question; What limits the suspension travel up front?
I didn't see any rubber bumpers on the "A" arms that would limit the travel or a bumper on the strut shaft.

The bump stops are built into the dust covers at the top of the strut mounts; thick rubber biscuits. The strut body strikes this and "bottoms". I took mine out when I put my Konis on (they were shot) and will be adding the 55mm Koni bump rubbers shortly. I run stock springs with the front perches at the bottom and the rear at the middle. This drops the rear end some and makes the car flat.

Thanks DamonB.
My biscuits are also shot. the rubber bootie dust covers are all torn up. Where can I buy the 55mm bump rubbers?
That should cure my rubbing of the wheelwell liner. Thanks, you da man.

I am getting mine from Tripoint Engineering . These bump rubbers are the racecar type; they are a little longer but bottom progressively so the tire doesn't just suddenly unload when you bottom. Truechoice has them too but Tripoint was a few bucks cheaper.
