Rota Slipstreams on a FC. Fitment Question

Ive always had a thing for Rota Slipstreams (yes I know they're honda wheels, but I dont have the money for legit Desmond Regamasters). I've done some research and from what I have read, the hub on the Rotas is smaller (56.1mm I believe) than an FC. So, I was thinking if I spaced them out then that wouldn't be a problem.

The size would be 17x8.5 +35 with a 1/4" spacer. I have Stance GR+ coilovers and stock fenders.

That should clear the hub lip, offset is in about the right range. You'll most likely need longer studs though, which isn't terribly hard in the front, but the rear requires the hubs to be removed (not trivial).

Do you think they would fit under stock fenders? And I heard about some lug nuts that actually are thinner at the end so more thread is available. Think that would work?

"ET" style lugs, those would help, but depending on the thickness of the wheel hub it might not be enough. Besides, longer studs are a much better solution.

They'll fit depending on how greedy you are with lowering and tire sizes.

Ok, thanks. I'll look into some. Where can I find them?

I was thinking of running a 225/45 on them. And from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender is about 14".

You should be fine then. Try Summit Racing for the nuts, I think I've seen them in their catalogue.

Ok, I'll check them out. What size studs do I need?

If you meant nuts they're 12x1.5, get whatever wrench size you want, but I know for my old 15x8 track slipstreams, I ended up switching to 17mm ones for socket clearance reasosns. The 17" wheels may be different, but the 17mm nuts will be lighter anyway, so no real downside, other than not being able to use the stock 21mm wrench on them.

Sweet, thanks for all the help guys.

I have already have "tuner lugs" for my sportmaxx's, or do you think I should get the ET style lugs?

I was actually looking at their selection, and I found that they had a 17x8.5 +35mm and a 73mm hub. They would still need spaced out, right?

Yes, you'll almost certainly still need ~1/4" of spacer to clear the suspension.

Ok, would the fenders need to be rolled at all?
