Rishie, Help!

ive got 14" phone dial rims on my 88 SE, i wanna get rid of them, and plus size to a Sensible, rough-road friendly (compared to 18s) 17"x7" rim. and i wanna stick some 225 or 235 rubber on there. Kumho's are starting to sound good to me.

got any suggestions for decent wheels, w/ proper offset, and not cheapy taiwan knock-offs? keep in mind, i only bring home $150 a week to play with. help me out bro!

im sick of starin at Phone dial, Pizza cutters! i need some Shoes!

thanks
chris

Check out www.rotawheels.com. Any of these wheels are extremely affordable and some are
very lightweight as well.

I'd like to get an idea of the styles that are appealing to you. Then I can show you some cool stuff. Don't worry about the money. If you want a Rota, it'll be tires and wheels for a $1000.00 or less, depending on shipping and payment method. That's for a 17*7 and 225, 45, 17 Kunho 712. The Subzero is a very light wheel and looks like the Racing Hart CP-035s, I think. I'll see what other specials we may have in inventory on Monday as well.

Thanks for thinking of us,

thanks for gettin back to me. ive always been partial to the Konig Rated-R's w/ the white finish. i suppose the ORIGINAL would be the Volk TE-37s, w/ the white finish. the Volks are lighter right, than the Konigs. the only thing i dont like, is the FWD design, u know, how they have Lots of offset. i like the Deep dish look. the Konig Toxxins look cool, but i read a post, here that said they were kinda...shoddy. i dont like billet wheels, dont like wheels that would be better suited to a slammed tahoe, or any ghetto cruiser. is $1000 the best deal there is? ive seen sets online for like 800 or 700, w/ 205-45-17 yoko's. anywho, thanks for gettin back to me Rishie.

I have yet to pick up a konig distributor. Although, the rotas should be the same cast. The centercaps are different. Go to www.rotawheel.com and click on catalogue. The previous site was not a proper link.

Are any of these the same as the rated R?
But you might be able to get it cheaper from an online dealer. They probably have large inventories and get deaper deals than me.
But get back to me and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks, Rishie

Also sounds like you might be interested in used rims. Honestly, I've bought a lot of my rims used and they're pretty tight. You save lots of money. I'll see what I can find or if there are any closeout specials from my distributors.

used rims arent a bad idea for me. i dont have a prob w/ that, its just, i dont know what im gettin into cuz they are used. know what i mean? theres no guarantee that they arent out of true, or have cracks in the powder coat, or stone chips. infact, my Phone dial rims have cracks in the clear coat now. i dont want more rims like that. i see rims for sale on here, and they are lik 18x9 for FD's, and they want like 1800 for the set. and thats really not my speed. anywho, thanks for ur insight. ive gotta balance my money between my FC, and my 79 TA which i just bought an engine for.

thanks
chris

Dude, the rated r's are not offered in a 17,7. This is far too thin for a FD or FC. In any case, check out the Enkei RPo1's. They are cheap and light as hell. I am doing a couple sets of these. The konig villain is also an option for you. They come in 17,8's. Let me know if you're interested and I'll get you a price.

I forgot that you have a four lug. I think you're stuck with a 7 or 7.5. You might be able to get a wide 16" though. Like 8" wide. THis would be sweet with a 245/45/16 in the rear, and a 225/40 or 45 up front. Let me know if you want me to check this out for you. I would do the 16's if it meant being able to get a wider stance.

Hot damn, I found two perfect fitment options for you. They are both made by TSW.
They are the Hockenheim and the Imola. Check them out at tires.com. Let me know if you like either. This will give you the best aesthetics, performance, and stance.
