Rear strut tower bar question

For those of you who have purchased an aftermarket rear strut bar, did hte cargo cover fit it or did you have to take it off. Since the stock bar has the 2 brackets built into it for the cover to swivel up when you open the hatch, how does the aftermarket ones accomplish this?

I have the Cusco Carbon fiber rear strut bar and it fits fine.
The plastic pieces that cover the struts need a bit of shoving down to clip into place but the cargo cover rotates fine without the little brackets from the stock rear strut bar.
It doest sit as stable, but it doesnt just hang either. It just happens to fit into place nicely.
Once you close the trunk, its all snug anyways.

Okay, I haven't really looked at it to see what the clips are attached to. So you are saying the 2 brackets pop off the stock bar and can pop onto the cusco carbon fiber bar, allowing the tray to rotate up when the trunk is open? If so, cool and thanks for the post.

No, the clips are attatched to the factory bar.
But theres no need to try and make them fit the aftermarket bar.
The cargo cover just manages to fit fine and rotate freely without any hinges. Sure its not as smooth moving as before, but its still totally fine.

Okay, I see what your saying and thanks for the input. Could you tell any difference in chassis stiffness or it one of those mods you know its better, but hard to measure. Either way thanks again for the posts.
