Rear Brake Noise
did a search, couldnt come up with much. 1988 GXL, rear disc brakes, when brakes are applied from anywhere between moderate and hard, the rears make a pulsing creaking kinda noise thats loud. rotors are still stock and has new calipers and pads now and it still does it. im not sure where to start looking now? any suggestions???

strike up the paean
pulsing? rotors could be "warped"
this can happen with new rotors if you do not break in your brakes properly.
it would be more a pulsing feeling coming through the brakes rather than a pulsing 'creaking'
can you describe the noise better? is it like high pitched metallic scraping noise?
i originally said it might be low pad but you say you got new pads. check to make sure nothing is out of place. maybe the pad clips are seated wrong and are touching the rotor under braking.
as to how to go about fixing it...
pull off the wheel and swing up the caliper, make sure everything is seated properly and the install was done correctly.

thanx for the input. let me see, have you ever heard an old tree creaking in the wind, or an old floor board in a house creak, it does that when you apply the brakes (noise is in rear only) ive checked the pads, clips, bolts caliper slide on, greased anywhere i thought was making some kind of dry contact, does it more the hotter they get.....

re- check everything.. see to it that everything is installed properly and bolt in.. sometimes uneven wear of brakes cause this kind of problem.. just like what happened to my dad's car, the rotors as well as the mazda brake shoe had to be replaced..
