Question about offsets with wide fenders
Hey guys, I just have a quick question that I need answered. I'm at work now so I dont have access to the tire sizing guide so I'll just use numbers that I made up.
I've been saving up for the RE Amemiya GT-AD kit. All of the fenders are 20 mil wider. So for example, if the tire sizing guide tells me that a +38 offset wheel will bring it flush on a stock fender, would I just subtract the 20 mil difference? So now a +18 wheel would be flush on the wide fender? I cant find the words to explain it. Does anyone know what I'm trying to ask?

strike up the paean
thats pretty much the definition of offset.
that only applies if the width doesn't change
its pointless to go wider just to get a more neg offset wheel
get a wider wheel
for 20mm i would get 1" wider. then subtract 12-13mm from offset to get your new desired offset. this keeps your inside clearance the same as before and brings your wheel out to (roughly) meet your new widebody fender.

Yeah, I'll be getting wider wheels as well. Because when I put in 10.5 wheel width in the sizing chart, I can find the offset that will be golden for my setup.
Thanks for the help man
