Racing wheel and neg. camber questions
I'm sure that both of these topics have been covered a billion times, but bear with me, I haven't been able to find this info through searching.
A few 1st gen. questions...
1. Who has experience with 4x110mm 13x7 or 13x8 steel wheels like Circle racing wheels? What width and backspacing works on a stock body without rubbing the fender or suspension? I can get free 13" Midget slicks all day long and want to find an affordable racing wheel to run them on. Circle has 13x7's for about $55 each, but Hoosier calls for a 13x8 wheel for their Midget car tires.
Hoosier
Tire Size TreadPattern TreadWidth Approx.Dia Approx.Circ Recom.Rim MeasuredRim SectionWidth Compounds
7.0/20.5-13 A 7.0" 20.5" 65.0" 8" 8" 8.6" MG4, MG5, MG6
7.0/20.5-13 A 7.0" 20.5" 66.0" 8" 8" 8.6" MG7, MG8
2. How much, if any, negative camber can I get by rotating an upper strut mount?
Thanks for the help! Mike

I am assumming that you are AutoX?
1. 13x8 Diamond racing wheels with 4" backspace, make sure to buy thier new lug nuts, Also convert to wheel studs.
2. You will need about 2 degrees negative camber, I dont think you can get ever 1 degree with stock adjustments.

rhinor61...thanks for the input and info.
No to the AutoXing, I like weekend and evening open track time on local road courses. I had a set of 15x7 Diamonds with a 4'' backspace, but the fronts stuck out about 1.25" and rubbed like heck on the fenders. The rears were better. I imagine that 13x8 would be 1' worse. Are you running 13x8's? If so, what is your experience with how they fit?
