Racing Beat Sway Bars? Worth it?

I have a chance to pick up the entire RB kit (front, rear and front sway bar reinforcement strut), all new, for about $150.

I searched this and it seems as though everyone's got varying opinions as to who's is the best, etc.

I'm running Eibach springs, which has given me the same friggin rubbing problem that just about everyone suffers from, as the car is lowered an inch or so. I'm only experiencing this at the track, and I do feel the FD has quite a bit of body roll for such a low set car. I'm hoping that these upgraded swaybars will help with my rubbing, and get me through the corners much "flatter".

Any opinions? Please let me know quick, as I have to give the guy an answer by the end of day.

TIA.

David

You certainly are not going to beat a $150 deal; I would jump on it. Even if you change your mind later and decide to go with something adjustable, more than likely you'd still use the brace and the rear bar.

You could always sell the whole mess for what you paid for it too. I don't see how you could go wrong.

Thanks Damon:

Any other opinions? Especially as to a noticeable difference on flattening out the car?

Thanks again.

The sway bars will flatten out the car through 1-g loaded turns @ the track

Thanks............turns out the ebay auction for these items went all the way up to $298, which I didn't expect, so I lost out. Too many Friggin FD owners out there watching EBAY and beating eachother up.

Brand new these parts are $327 from Jason, so I was hoping to snag them for much less. In the last few minutes of the auction everyone went ape-****.

Thanks guys for the feedback. May have to give Jason some more of my money.

Good for you. Too many people get caught up in the "He can't have it! It's mine! Throw some more money!"

The only time to bid on Ebay items is in the last minute if possible. It's like a game of poker hold your poker face till the end and then let it loose..

Don't expect Ebay people to be very bright some times. I just ordered Cruise control for my Jeep Wrangler TJ and got it brand new for 170+ shipping. yet some smart people bid a used cruise control setup to 180..

It's like they see it on Ebay and they must own it.. so they bid..

That's the whole game there.

Anyways at $150 that's a sweet deal.

My car is ultra flat. I did suspension mods all at the same time but I have the Tokico Illuminas on 3 & 4, Eibach springs, RB front sway bar with reinforcer and the strut tower bars. It was a 1000% improvement. For my needs I couldn't ask for a better setup flat cornering wise but I don't track race so for what that's worth.
