Question Question for the Wheel expert guys--Manny, Rishie, etc

Can I run SSR GT1's 17x9 all around, and will Yoko AVS Intermediates 255/40zr17 fit on all 4 corners?

I have a Tanabe coilover setup.

Rishie, what kind of pricing can you get my on the package, and also on just the rims? Please get back to me as soon as possible.

Thanks guys

I'd have to check the offset on those wheels to see if they are produced. I'll get back to you tommorrow.

Thanks, Rishie

Rich,

I think SleepR1 runs that setup with +45 mm offset SSR Integral A2s. As long as the offset it right, you should be able to get away with it.

Fun fact: I met both you (Rich/GoodfellaFD3S) and Manny (SleepR1) at MADS back in April '99.

OK, this is driving me nuts...what was the situation?

Did I talk much? Where did we meet? Were we at the Texas Road House? Were we in Blue group together?

Rich that's right I have 9 x 17, 45-mm offset SSR Integral A2s with 255/40-17 Yokohama AVS Intermediates all the way around with no rubbing problems at all road or track. Springs are H&R, shocks are stock Showa R1. Sway bars are Eibach.

Yeah, I remember, Max. Seems like forever; I had just bought my (then) stock R1. During the parade laps the coupler for the 2nd turbo IC piping blew off and scared the hell out of me. I borrowed some of your tools to fix it.

That was back in the day of the "old" tristate club; Ed Kim, Wael El Dasher, Ryan Schlagheck, Tony 'The Greek' D, and Gordon Monsen, among others. I know Ryan sold his car, and Wael posted awhile back. Ed and Gordo are both on the forum and still have the rotary addiction

Manny,

We didn't get into a long conversation or anything. I think Pauly was changing the brakes on someone's car in the parking lot at the hotel and we met then. I don't think we even exchanged names, but I figured it out later.

Did Wael sell his car too? I just saw Manny's got his on the market....jeez I feel like a redheaded step child with all the ol' timers selling their cars. Jim O'Brien sold his, aleast to Brad Barber, but still.

Max,

Yeah, Paul was changing my brakes on my red Rx7 (I think?). Too bad I don't recall...I have to be sure to exchange names with people!

Tim,

I do remember meeting you at Road Atlanta in 2000 (although, I don't think we exchanged names then either) FWIW, I've taken my car off of the market, and I plan to re-motor and re-turbo the FD when the time comes. Based on Ramon Ceron's review, and others' as well, I'm going with KD Rotary for all the work... I guess this means the brakes will stay where they are Perhaps when I'm all set with new motor and turbos, I'll make another appearance at Road Atlanta
