Potenza re750 vs. Ventus rs-2
I am about to order a new set of tires for my stock wheels And I'm stuck between these two tires. I've heard good things about both but I wanna know if the re750s are worth the extra cash. The car is mainly used for street driving but I am getting into auto-x and road course so I want this tire to perform well on and off the track. I'm gonna be buying them in 245/45/15 so any help or advice would be great especially from someone with ersonal experience. BTW my FD is making about 420hp to the wheels and is currently on drag radials.
Thanx in advance

I have RE750 on my Civic now for a little over 10K miles and I like it a lot. I have tried SP8000, Prada and Sumitomo HT+.
I think the RE750 is between Sumitomo and Prada, it has better traction than the Sumi and run a lot quiet than Prada.
Hope this help.

Those two tires are not a fair comparison. If you are considering Bridgestones, you might want to consider the RE050A Pole Positions or the RE-01R. And are you sure you are running them on 15" rims?

Ok, so no love for the rs-2? And Even though the car will see more street than track it is still a weekend car not a daily driver. I'll check into the other tires you mentioned any other input?

Ok, The s-o3 are out of my price range right now,
BTW are you saying it is not a fair comparison because the re750s are in a different class than the rs-2 (better than them?)

Ok the re050a and the re-01 are not available in 245/45/16, The s-03 pole positions are too expensive.

RS-2s are grippy but get heated up way too fast, good autox tire but not good for track. I used to have a set of RE750s on my Audi but never had any track time with those tires. Have you considered the Azenis RT615? (dont know if they make that size)
