you need to lower it at least an inch to one & a half. Stretching tire doesn't make any sense unless you tuck rubber!

ya i will be dropping it about 1 more inch all around tomorrow afternoon as well as pulling the fenders. right now if i go any lower the tires will just rub fender all day long lol i havn't touched ride height yet from my last wheel setup and this is how it ended up.

Never posted my fd but would like some input/opinions on a set of wheels I just picked up. These originally were for vw r32 but decided I'm gonna throw them on my fd instead

BBS rs's 16" face with custom slant lips and barrels to 18's

18x9 et20
18x10 et32

I have a set of 215/35/18s and 225/35/18s tires laying in my garage from my other car, might be too small

I'm thinking I might need to add small spacers all around as well

Those tires will certainly be too small.

tires won't be too small..... just the regular stretch, I know ppl running those sizes on the FD but those wheels however is definitely a no for me. You'll also need somewhat big spacers to make those wheels work with those tires

I think that's gonna be pretty cool.

That said, get ready for the fire. The FD community in general, in my observation, like a certain type of wheel fitment that's more on the conservative, functional style.

Would love to see how it looks so please update after you fit them!

^^^^^ thanks for the input guys, I think it's gonna look awsome... will be more towards the stance look but this is just a summer temp setup, full motor build/single is in store over the winter so wheel setup will change

^^ as far as opinions go: I like the wheel. Can't say the same for the style you are going for, but to each their own

I must say though, that is the biggest 18 inch wheel I've ever seen... Or is it an optical illusion?

it's not mounted just placed in front of the stock wheels and also it's a panorama shot so makes it look huge lol

lol that was my first thought !!!! I was like SHIIIIIIT that aint 18" wheel! but then noticed the tire poking on the top right of the FD and figure this was placed in front of it and dude took the pic waaaay to close so it looks like 20"

*** Should of taken a pic like this of the rear once you had it mounted too.

I love the idea and I love the wheels. Do it! Just don't do it to an FD.

i saw those wheels on zilvia a while back. they look funny to me bc they were rebarreled from 16" to 18". the 2" step up is too apparent and not subtle and it looks funny

Love this fitment and the rest of the car too. Is that stock ride height?
