Post Pics of your FD Wheel Fitment!!
I bought the Hankook Ventus TD from Discount Tire Direct (price match&free shipping) as they just started carrying them, but I have seen them on VentusTD.com for a while and before that even on TireDirectInc Ebay store.

Just going to drive to auto-x and race on them (I am too lazy to change wheels/tires).
They seem like a compound that will heat cycle out since when they get hot and cool off there is a slightly harder crust.
I should have gotten R888 'cause they are cheap in the size and I miss driving the FD on the street.
They are grippy though. Sidewall is ho hum, but grip is awesome for a tire with tread pattern.

I plan on running a similar setup to this. Took me forever but I finally found the wheel specs. These are 18x10 +38 front, 18x10 +18 rear.
I found some wheels that are 18x9.5 +20 and 18x9.5 +38. How do you think these will look compared? And what tires should i run to look similar to these?
I plan on rolling the fender and if a must, a small pull. Thanks.

Go on this website Offset Calculator to see the difference in widths/offset from one wheel to another.
Fronts will retract 6mm and the rears (running the et20's on the back) would retract 8mm. you could always run 5mm spacers to push the wheels out that little bit more and they'd be off by a few mm.

Awesome. Thanks. What about a tire size?
Another silver FD on old school Enkei RS wheels. I just refinished the wheels myself with the exception of the powder coated centers being performed by RotaryResurrection.com.
I wish they were 18s but otherwise very happy with the look.

Very nice ... were they easy to split? And where did you get replacement hardware?
Refinishing them will be my winter project.

I'll post better pics this week. They were an absolute bitch to get apart as no where has the correct bit to fit the bolts. I had to tap a 9mm over each bolt on the front and slowly and painfully break them free. I just used stainless button head bolts with stainless nuts to rebuild them. Lots of time but for the price I have in them well worth it. I painted the rear part of the barrels flat black which look great with the silver metallic powder coat and polished lips. I like that you won't seen many sets of these wheels out there either.
I can finally contribute to this thread after ten years!
My old school set up:
CCW Classics 17x10(F), 17x11(R), 7.5" backspacing; bengal black (gloss) outer barrel finish, black magic (satin) center finish; ARP wheel hardware; Kumho Escta XS 255/40/17(F), 295/35/17(R); Kics Project R26 Lug Nuts

Initial install:

After a little drop:

BTW, original bolt should be E12 torx if I am not mistaken.
http://bit.ly/10nlmIj I'd like to buy these for my FD. I'm having trouble being sure they'll clear my calipers. Any suggestions? Thank you! 18x9.5, +35 & 18x8.5, +30
