pictures of fd with eibach pro springs plz

would like to see pictures of fd's with the eibach pro springs on factory struts. I'm about to purchase some and would like to see what kind of drop I can expect. Shocks do not have to be stock, but if you could mention your suspension setup, it can be factored in. Thanks everyone.btw, did a search already.

Here are some pics of my car. For your viewing pleasure (and comparison) my car wears three different sets of wheels, SSR Integrals, Fikses FM-5 and stock wheels.

GAB R shocks with Eibach springs.

Yeah that was my TII. A friend (aRex-7) and I towed that puppy to Florida (from Oregon) and competed in the Grassroots Motorsports $2002 challenge. We got 3rd out of 59 entrants. Look for an article on it in the March issue.

13.4s@ 104-105mph, all for ~$1850 total!

turbojeff - it seems that the Prokits did a pretty mild drop compared to stock height...... what is the finger gap? Nice car BTW.......

overkill - where about in Martinez are u at? I'm usually around the Concord/P. Hill area on the weekends in my VR FD with black RP-01s..........

It is a pretty mild drop for sure. For the most part it is easy drive, but in some cases it is kinda low, esp with the R1 lip.

I've had a lot of FDs. I've measured the ride height from car to car. It seems like the ride height can vary about 3/4". So some cars will only drop 1/4-1/2", others may drop 1"+. Depends on where it starts. BTW, I measured Tourings, Base, R1s and a PEP.

Finger gap depends on which tires. The 17" wheels with tires are larger diameter than the 16" w/tires. I'd say the rears are ~1" larger in diameter, the fronts might be about the same.

Damian,

Man that car looks beautiful!

My UIM, TB, Alt, etc were polished at a local polisher. I've got a couple more manifolds there right now. I can offer an exchange service that way.

if you want some more - Eibachs on factory touring struts:
http://hero.com/~briank/RX7/

If you're going to buy them new, you might want to go with the Racing Beat springs - they drop the back a little more and give the car a more even look.

Indeed. The eibach drop almost too much in front, not enough in back. I used the middle koni ride height setting to even them out in the rear.

spring hieght

It sure seems like those eibach's are on the conservative side. I had to look closely to see if all your cars were even lowered. I personally would like to see the car a hair lower. I hear that the H & R's are lower, any pictures guys? BTW, how much can you adjust those Koni's? I will eventually get some.. Perhaps with the eibach's and Koni's I acheive the look I want, without damaging my wheel wells. Thanks guys and keep the pictures coming!.

It would be great to see some cars with H7 R's with the stock struts, then I can view them side my side...

I live about 500 yards from the Old John Muir museum. Do you autocross or drive at Sears Point? I've been trying to find other fd owners that do, so I can persuafe myself to get out to the track with my car

I wouls always replace shocks and springs together, when you do just the springs youare gonna have incresed occurances of wheel rub, I d recommend going with stiffer aftermarket shocks.
