The 18-inch Competitions won't be available from Tire Rack until next month. Most FDs have 17-inch SSR Comps, which is what I have. The Comps are very light, and I'd question your motivation to use them for road use. They're really meant for racing-only...

Hey 93redFD, Any of the Volk GT Series will come in gunmetal with a polished lip except the spoked one, I have 18" gunmetal GT-N's do a search for loi or rotary knight and you can see what they look like, the GT series has a bigger lip than the ones Rishie showed you, but he the one you want to go to since he can make it an easy process. I wish I went with him but I didn't and paid dearly if you want my sob sorry just search with my name.

what size are those 17x8.5? or 9.5?

and what tires did you fit?

I spoke to tire rack today about ordering the same wheel, dont know if i want to go 245/40 all way around with So3,s or get theBF Goodrich t/a kd with a nice "wide" look.

Those SSR Comps belong to sk8world. He has 8.5 x 17 front and 9.5 x 17 rear, 42-mm offset. Same as my setup. Only difference is that he has street tires, and I have Hoosier Racing tires on mine. sk8world's tires sizes are slightly smaller than mine (which 245/45-17 fr and 275/40-17 rr).

Re: wheels

You can only go all around with 8.5 x 17, 42-mm offset. In that case, I'd go with 245/40-17 S-03s.

You should wait for the 9.5 x 18 SSR Comps to be released. Those will come in 50-mm offset. You can run those all the way around with 265/35-18s or 275/30-18s (if that size is even available?)

How good are these rims for street use, do they bend easily. Would 17s be better since you can run thicker profile tire

Sleep, tried to order the 18,s but there out till next month,so I borrowed some 18,s,
I think 17,s suit me better because i want the "Jap import look " let alone better ride/weight.
Even though its for street i want as little weight as possible.

I believe the 17s will probably be fine for public road use, but the 18-inch Comps might be "dicey". I'd certainly consider using the 18s for racing only...
