Given stock tyre sizes on each wheel the difference will be so small you'd be hard pressed to notice. Something in the vicinity of 1% slower for the TII wheels.

I am trying to run a 275 on a 10 inch wide rear rim with a rolled fender. I can find 275/40/17 all day. why don't they make a 275/35/17? that sucks the only 35 I can find in a 17 is a 245/35/17. Might run that on the front with the corksport fenders

Yup! my gripe too is that a 275-40 is to tall ( 25.6"). They should make a 35..

275/40/17's would fit with a coil over to raise the car up a little but they don't will as is. I am almost faced with going with 18's so I can get a 30 back their. I am a few weeks from having my turbo kit done and I don't want to slip and slide around like I am on ice.

With the 8" wide, you can go up to a 245 wide rear 245/40/17.
Again, check with the tire mounting shop to see if they can do this.

The 7.5" +30 should be okay.
The 8.5" +22 will hit the front fender.
If we're talking rears.
Either or should fit no problem.
What kind of wheels are these?
Gram Lights?
They are very odd fitments.

yup they are gram lights. im just tryin to get the wheel and tire flush with the fender. i am pretty sure these numbers should work i just wanted to make sure. (yea the 7.5 in the front and the 8.5 in the back. sorry for the mix up.) the wheels that are on her right now are after market so i am just makin a guess at the offset number when i was using the online offset calculator. hehe

ohh help?
HEYA!
Well, turns out i got a GREAT deal on some 17x7 rims. HOWEVER the offset is really screwing me up. its +48. So i have a set of 4 rims 17x7 at +48 offset. So i need spacers on all 4 corners to make them Flush right? I was thinking do i need 10mm spacer?! (so that they fit flush all four, and so i can clear the STOCK suspension?) Thats what i gather from what i read on this thread. SO all i ask is some clearification on the spacer size i need for all 4 corners and What Tire size you guys recommend (reted since he seems to be the guru on this
). FYI i am looking for low pro type tires! THANKS!!!

alright...I'm buying a set of wheels (mostly just for looks as I don't drag, auto x or anything, but decent performance is a +) The wheels are 17x7 and +40mm offset. What's the best size tire to run all around on these wheels for steet performance and looks? (88 tII)

This thread is freaking huge.
Damn.
The information is beyond valuable, though. I've got yet another question about FD wheel fitment. I didn't find anything about this when I searched the archives.
I know it says you need a 20mm spacer to fit the wheels up front. Do you need one in the back? I've seen photos and I noticed that the front wheel peeks out of the fender just a hair, but the rears don't quite fill them out. What kind of spacer would I need in the rear to make them fit like the fronts? Do I need longer wheel studs? Thank you, adrian

Eyeballing the FD rims with 225/50/16 tires, you need like a 1+" spacer to get them to sit flush with the rear fenders.
I think we're talking at least 1.5" if not more!
Running a large spacer like that is just not recommended at all, except for "show".
"Offset spacers" run staggered studs so you don't need really long wheel studs.
