Typically, they are 8" +50.
So, FC to FD info applies to this also.
I wouldn't want to run the +20mm offset just to get the fronts to fit.

These are my 255s on a 7inch rim. I'm unsure of the offset cause I bought em used from a buddy of mine. I talked to him the other day about these tires. He said they were a P.I.T.A. to put on the rim. sorry I dont a better pic. Its just a cheap $20 walmart digital camera.

I just finished putting my new 18x9 +35 ADR Version II wheels, with 265/35/18 Nexen tires look great! Fit is awsome! Will post pics soon! Next W/E I'm going for the fronts, 18x8's also +35 with 225/40/18 Nexens. Thanks for all the input, homework pays off!

Wow, 44 pages! That's just crazy, and I'll apologise now if this has been covered!
I'd love to be able to put some Buddy Club P1 Racing wheels on an FC.
The sizes I was thinking of are:
(F) 17x8 +32 with a 225/45/17
(R) 17x9 +37 with a 255/40/17
I have read numerous posts in this thread and I'm a little concerned about the rear as a result but I'm just not sure. So i'll ask!![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks all.
EDIT: I'm more than happy to lip the guards for fitment if required. (I think guys would call that rolling the fenders).

The info you want is in this thread. We had 6 days without any posts on this thread and it was good. Now go find your answer. Yes, I'm being cranky and yes, you deserve it.
Read this: http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm
The same link can be found in an earlier post.

I get what you're saying, and appreciate what you're trying to say. I've read that link and others, and I'm pretty happy with the sizes but as mentioned just wanted to make sure.
You could have ignored this post completely and I'd have been just as informed as I was yesterday, but thanks for trying. That's what a forum is for I suppose.
It would still be nice just to hear someone say, "I've got those exact sizes and it looks and fits great. You'll love those Rims!".
I guess not though... Oh well.

And hey... It's within 1mm of your max offset when looking at your offsets page!

I think it should clear the strut / spring and trailing arm, but I can almost guarantee you the muffler heat shield needs to be bent out of the way.
The stock FD wheel and tire is 16" x 8" +50.
This runs into the muffler heat shield.
If we adjust this for a 9" wide rim, it comes out to about +37, which is right on your number.
Just to be conservative, I'd try and keep the offset under +35.![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I actually prefer a 9" +30 with a 255 wide tire in the rear, which should have no problem with clearance.

Too tight for what? I have 1/2" more rim at +38mm offset w/ 275-40.. A 255 will easily fit on a +37mm offset.
How much space are you looking for to consider it safe to run at the track?

Do you find that being enough for your taste? I'm just trying to get a feel for what you and others consider to close... Not trying to be a dick.
My sizes are close to the shield and trailing arm etc. but I'd never run to close to rub on any of them.

I'm more than happy to mold the heatshield a little if required, and the car will end up with coilovers at some stage. Not to mention lipping the guards. By the sounds of things all these minor mods will make all the required space easily.
There's a dude with the wheels I want on his FC, although I'm not sure what sizes/offsets he's using. I'm trying to find out though. I'll report back here when I know just to keep all the info in one spot.
Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

Another trick is to find wheels that will fit a Skyline GT-R R32.
The stock R32 uses 16" x 8" +30, and this fits fine on an FC3S.
Anything that will fit on an R32 will fit on an FC.
This is the trick when looking for those JDM wheels...

Actually, the more data given, the better for all of us in the long run!
My philosophy is to run wheels more toward the outside of the well.
I prefer to roll the fender lip rather than run spacers.
So, my recommended offsets push the wheels more outwards.
I try to keep the clearances as much as possible inside.
This really helps for drifters who run "shimmed" front steering racks, as you got more steering angle that can cause stock spec wheels to hit stuff at full lock.

Ok, so how about a 17x9 +27 for the back? That's getting closer to your +30 recommendation, so how about it? ![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I've found that the wheels are available in the correct PCD in the offsets: +17, +27, +37 & +47.

So the +27 is just about perfect.

Why don't you go ask the OWNER of the car what the specs of his rims are?
It's a royal pain in the *** to go GUESSING what spec rims are on the car. :P
