17x8 + 45 and 17x9 + 45. would these work?

 

Run at least a 10mm spacer and they should fit fine.

 

Use a 15mm spacer front and rear and they should fit fine.

 

well, i didn't want to ask, but...

rear; 18x9.5. 40 offset
front; 18x8. 40 offset

i intend on getting 30mm front/rear wide fenders. will be on coilovers.

In my experience 18x9.5 +20 seems to fit nice on flared stock fenders front and rear.

You'll need at least a 30mm spacer for those wide fenders.

Yes. The numbers I gave are a good medium, so try them out, if you want a more aggressive fit, use larger spacers.

 

ok so i've been thinking... with the power i'll be pushing, shouldn't i run a wider rear tire than 9.5 like i just posted up last night? seems like if i'm running ~550 whp 9.5" wide tires won't cut it. i was thinking of drag wheels maybe.

go on youtube and look up MDOE8 and find the turbo ls1 video those are 275 50 16's or 60 they're quite tall, but you'll get the general idea

i might mount some 255 60s on mine this summer as i have 4 brand new tires going to waste at my place

Okay so im back lol. looking at the Work Meister S1's and cannot choose over the standard or deep rim sizes if you could take a look at the PDF file and lemme know what you think i could run, in refrence to my earlier posts gonna run the standard size rim 17x8 up front and 17x9 in back. i would like to run the deep rim 17x9's in back lemme know.

Unfortunately I don't have any personal experience with Meisters. The only issues I can see with the "deep rim" (o-disk) would be brake clearance, the rear shouldn't be a problem, but the front you could run into issues. Though all the Meisters I have seen have had large bowed spokes, so clearance up front may not be a problem.

If your going to drop the cash for custom Meisters I'd suggest you do a little more research, or ask someone with personal experience with them. There is a guy with a white S5 a few pages back with Work Meisters, you might want to send him a pm... Or you could talk to Rishie from Auto RnD (ARD T2 on the forum) about it, he could also order them for you too.

Whats the widest I can go with a 15" rim but not sticking out past the fenders and no fender rolling, also not worrying bout tire size just looking for a wider look with a 15" or 16" rim. With offsets ranging from 15x7.0 +21, 15x7.5 +17, 15x7.5 +42, 15x8+ -4.5, 15x8.5 -6.
I'm assuming that the 15x7.5 +42 is the closest to the stock 15" rims. I'm looking at getting one of these rims from this guy.

The stock sizes all have an offset of 40mm or 40 ET and are:
14x5.5 (steel) w/114.3x4 bolt pattern (Base)
14x5.5 w/ 114.3x4 bolt pattern (Base, Luxury, 87.5-88 SE)
15x6 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (GXL, Sport, GTU, 91 coupe)
15x6.5 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (convertible)

Looking to put some wide tires and wheels on an FC.

For 17" x 8.5" wheels running 245/40/17 Tires and 17" x 9.5" wheels running 265/40/17 Tires, what would be the optimal offset to use that has the wheel tire combination barely clearing the inside suspension with no rub? Assume I'm running coilovers, let's say, Coilovers with 2.25" springs, so I'll have slightly more clearance.

I could roll stock fenders but I would like to stay away from overfenders if possible.

Just curious, what's the widest wheel and tire that's been put on a car with 30 mm overfenders? What's the maximum tire you could put on the standard 20 mm front 30 mm rear overfenders?

 

I'm confused reading those dimensions.. all I know physically that my current stock wheels are 4 lugs type. Now, what specific dimensions should I be looking for when it comes to searching for rims. I do not want to get an adaptor for 5 lugs.. thanks.

 

I believe you need to look for a rim with a bolt pattern of 4 x 114.3

 

the answer is.. it all depends.
fenders are never the width advertized, so the only way to tell how much actual clearance you gain is to measure them (or just look at someone elses car). I have corksport fenders, advertized as +30, and i can fit 285's under them. def more than 30mm...
Shine/foresight fenders on the other hand are labeled +30, and really only give an extra 15-20mm.

then the coilovers- fitment all depends on how the lower bracket is cut. If you change the mounting holes' orientation a tiny bit, it has a big effect on strut/wheel placement.
once again, you have to find someone thats running the same setup and go from there.
(i switched from teins to AWR strut tubes, and they were wayyyy different)

 

Everything Josh said above is correct. To give you the best chance of fitting, the front offset will need to be in the low to mid +20 range. Rear offset can be in the mid+20 to low +30 range and it will most likely fit.

Expect to roll both front and rear fenders.

So I've been reading this thread and trying to learn how offsets work with different wheel sizing, also I've been using an offset calculator. Im the type of person that would rather learn wheel fitment rather than having someone tell me whether or not a wheel will fit, but im kinda stuck. The quote above is the closest I have seen to the size im looking for (18x8.5) but the wheels im looking at (XXR 521's) only come in +30 and +40 ET's for this size. what im stuck on is whether the +30 no spacer or the +40 with a ~5mm spacer would make a nice flush fit. Also wheels with a lip style such as these, does the lip affect the fixment calculation?

(sorry i would post a link or pic of the wheels but this is my first post on this forum and it doesn't allow me to do so until i have 5 posts )

Hey guys, I have some SSR Prof SP1 to fit to an FC I'm looking at buying. Its an EGi [I don't know if that makes the rear fenders any different to a TII?].

Wheel specs are - 17x9 +19 (F) 18x11 +16 (R).

The car current sits on 17x9.5 +22 (F) 17x9.5 +6 (R). I can't post images until I've got 5 posts or something so that'll have to wait.

I've calculated the rear should sit 9mm further out than it is at present so with a bit of flare they should fit. God knows. But I can't find ANYTHING about people running 18x11 on metal rear fenders. Anyone know if they'll fit or should I give up now?
