Question New wheels ?

Hey guys, I'm kinda itchin to MAYBE change my wheels. I'm thinking about the ones in the below pic but most of my buddies like the ones I already have. Please give me your opinions. You can also click on my homepage link to get a better look at the ones currently on the car.

Thanks everyone.

Oh yeah, please post pics or links of your favorites.

those wheels are sweet, i like them better than your old wheels. but if you are planning on doing any mods do that first because you have nice wheels already.

Tom you have a sweet looking ride. I would keep the wheels you have unless someone around your town has something really close to what you have.
More mods. Nice clean look though. I like silver because you get that classy yet sport look. I love yellow though

Tom ... keep the wheels you got. They look killer on your car. The others won't look as cool I don't think. The less spokes appeal to me personally.... those are nice wheels though.!

Personally, I like the alternates, although Volk has the same spoke pattern and prolly weigh a hellava lot less.

IMHO, I think the ones currently on your car are, gasp, too big. It looks like your car sits a little higher than it would if you put 17's on it. Personally, I like the lower look rather than the elevated look that the 18's give. I saw a car with 17's and coilovers that were adjusted. perfectly and everyone thought they were 18's.

Maybe some side skirts or something would help the way I see things. Just my opinion...

Right on, thanks for all the input guys. For some reason I wasn't getting emails that members had posted in my thread . Anyhow, Brentis, I actually agree with you, but only half way . As the car sits right now, yeah, I think it is a little too high and adding some side skirts would help (I've actually been thinking about them but I don't want the car to look like one of those kit cars that have a bunch of pieces, you know, that riced-out look).

But I think the 18" wheels are just right.

The height of the car is actually temporary though. The reason I haven't gone lower yet is this: at the very least, I will probably buy the same exact wheels but with a different offset so they stick out more (I like it when the edge of the rim is exactly the same as the edge of the fender). I told the jackass that when I ordered them but since I waited 3 months for them to get here from Japan, I didn't want to wait an other 3 months without driving my car. Anyway, so once I do get the rims, then I can lower the car to the exact height so they don't rub too much. Otherwise, if I lower it first, then the new wheels might rub too much and F up my fenders.

Damn, I write long posts, huh? Alright well, thanks again guys. If you have any cools pics, please post them.

SleepR1: Thanks for your opinion buddy. As for my girl in the avatar, she is F'in HOT!!!! That's a full nude shot that I cropped down to just her face. Her name is Stacey Sanches, with an S on the end, not a Z. If you want to PM me your email address, I'll be more than happy to send you some of the pics

Joker: The wheels I currently have on the car are made by Stich over in Japan. Wheel is called Gulf Spoke. Thanks for the post

Damn, the more I look at the SSR Agle Strusse, the more exact they look like mine. I'm dumb-founded that I never found them on my own. I was searching for 6 months, high and low, before I settled on the Stich Gulf Spokes. I was starting to think the SSR's might be the way to go cuz it wouldn't take 3 months to get them but then I found SSR is made in Japan too Anyhow, I still kinda like the Maya's at the top of this post- they remind me of the mesh wheels I used to have on my 1979 street ported RX7.

Thanks a lot,
Tom

Dude, those mayas are a beautiful mesh. No doubt about that. I'd actually go for the mesh over the Stich that you have at the moment. Although the Stich definitely give you the unique factor.

Haven't seen them on an FD, nor the SSR.

Yeah, those are pretty close to the Advan Sienna Generation II's. I did a search and found some pics of them. If you look at the detail where the spokes meet the lip, I like the Maya's better. Click on this link but make sure you go all the way to the bottom; there is a close up of the Advan wheel. Also on that site, notice how he vented his hood. That shiet looks CLEAN!!! Way better than the big vents in the FD hoods. http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/sususupra. Bro, hurry up and move on some wheels so you can post the pics. I wanna see how the FD looks with them before I buy them, hehehee.

And lastly, as for my little hottie chick, I have no ideawhat the F she was thinking by not shaving her monkie. But she is fine enough to where I still posted her.

^^^^^^The more I look at those Fikse Profil 13s(pronounced Pro-Feel), the more I want them. They come in 18s (and 19s), but I'd need 2.5-inch coil springs to get 285/30-18s with 10 x 18s to fit all the way around (sigh).

My wallet says Volk CE28N in 9.5 x 17, 47-mm all around...we'll see what artowar2's car looks like with 9.5 x 18s all around with 265/35-18s Kumhos.

The problem with the Fikse wheels is that the dummies are still making their wheels with a step in the lip. So you may get a 17" wheel but then the face ends up being smaller. So a 17" wheel ends up looking like a 16" or even 15".

If you look at most of the other mfg's, the lip is flat. So the wheel looks cleaner, deeper, and with the bigger face, the wheel looks bigger; 17's look like 17's.

But other than the lip, yeah, the Fikse wheels are of nice quality.
