Nice rims, I personally would have taken more time to get a better offset but good choice, what are the tires again Bf's?

whats wrong with the offset? the rims are huge with huge tires and they dont rub and they dont stick out past the fenders... flush on all four corners

no the tires are michelin ps2's cuz i didnt want to go with the khumos since its a street/track car and they have crappy tread life

35 lbs with tires? are you sure, that would mean that those rims weigh about 10 lbs since those tires are 25lbs each if they you are running 275/35/18,

You are probably at about 42 to 47 lbs I would think, but not 35 lbs

I think he is talking about the front offset, any lower the car looks like it will rub.

nice wheels though car looks great..

Dradon,

CCW (John) know their business especially when it comes to FD fitment. I'm sure the offsets skylar got are pretty well optimized when it comes to fitting all that rubber under there.

Skylar... Nice wheels.

Why, in a rear-wheel-drive would you want same sized tires front and rear? Yes, I know the FD has near 50-50 W.D. But, the rear tires are not just used for acceleration, cornering and braking, but for power application during cornering.

well lets see....those tires are pretty expensive...about $300 each(so thats $1200 to replace all four...most people dont even have rims that cost that much) let me see someone with staggered rims who takes their car to the track a lot rotate the wheels on their car....plus having the huge tread on the front makes the car more liable to oversteer than to understeer, which is preferable in racing (dont argue, if you ask most people would prefer a neutral handling car but thats not usually feasible). I just took the largest wheel/tire combo that i could fit under both the front and rear and went with it.

and you are correct about the wheel weights, i looked at the shipping info and the weights on the wheels/tires was like 39 lbs.

Rx7@Rocketship its Alex btw of clubrxquebec and secondly front ofsett is nice just personally unless you have a huge brake option in the rear I would have chosen a lower disk to show more lip. But then again im not a race fanatic or wheel pro just personal esthetic preference.

its easy to do that with a smaller width wheel but when you can barely fit that much under there its hard to play with the offset like that

I used to run bigger tires on the front of a FWD car I had than I had on the rear. Made for nice, neutral handling under all circumstances that I ran into. Not legal there. But safer.

that may be true for the rears but remember that these have to fit the fronts also...

Skylar, the wheels look really nice.

18x10 +50 fits (~7.5" backspacing on 3-piece 18" CCWs, probably similar or the same for 1-piece, depending on the actual width of the outer rim, which is >10.5" for a 10" wheel) in front and rear. I tried that fitment at John's (CCW) suggestion several years ago and it has worked out great.

according to the gross wieght on the shipping receipts and the weight of the packaging they weigh ~42.5 lbs with tires (sorry about earlier 39 lb post...apparently i cant do math...i recalculated the stuff and looked up tire weights etc)so the rims weigh about 18lbs each

I found a suitable replacement.

It is like polishing the rims twice (polish then treat) to receive a hose off finnish that lasts at least a year and maintains the unmatched polished aluminum look. Anodizing just doesn't shine enough for me.
Even "Wheel Wax" works pretty good and saves some polishing time.

Those CCWs look great.

If my wife and I move back to the city and I need a single set of street/track wheels, i'll be giving them a call about a set of 10" and 11" black ones.

Congratulations!!!
