need locking lug help
need locking lug help
So anyone have any idea how to get the factory locking lugs off if you don't have a key?? i finally desided to take my rear-end out and found out that i didn't have the key for the rear lugs. kinda wondered why the fronts where in the glove box when i got the car. so anyway to get them off or getting a new key from mazda? if anyones had the problem so far. which i'm sure someone had to have. thanks tod
there is a socket made for it. i think sears carries them. it will be worth the money to have a new tool. you wack the socket on the lug with a tap from a hammer then as you twist the lug off the socket will bite and dig into the lug and twist it off. or any tire shop will do it for a few bucks
i thought of that--went to sears w/ one of the lugs that i had off. they don't have them big enough to fit over the lug. and cars not even close to be driven or even pushed. lol
well i have the same problem and posted after you with no help from the list... so after trying the local mazda dealer with no luck i emailed mazda speed for help and they said these are mcgard locks so i did a google found them and made a call . sent my digital pic that i had taken and , received a reply in ten minutes to call with credit card # and they did have it for $14.99 ! Freakin dealer wante $40+ and didnt have a clue if they could get it. hope that helps
