235/40 18 f and 165/35 18 rear is common but alot depends on the offset backspace to determine if it will rub

Just a quick question - What's the offset on your ADR M-Sport rims (front and rear)?

I called ADR direct and they said they don't offer that rim for a 93-96 RX-7. But I know I've them on other RX's.

I was looking at getting this rim for my FD , Best price I can get is 1000 for 18x9.5 and 18x8.5 set shipped. Tires will run me about 500 for 235 40 18 front and 275 40 18 rear . Would a 35 profile tire not be noticably lower in the rear with a 40 in the front?

NO. Read the tire tech section at the Tire Rack.

Ideal sizes for those rims would be 235/40, 265/35.

Ditching the Civic wheels already?

265/35 has a sidewall height of 92.75mm
235/40 has a sidewall height of 94.00mm.
275/35 has a sidewall height of 96.25mm

i'd go with the 275 just cause it's wider.

all of these tires will be taller than stock by less than .5 inches.

typical Redneck reasoning. Yeah, i would go with the wider tire too, but my wheel isnt going to get any wider so....
a 235/40/18 in the front provides an acceptable section width/wheel width ratio, while being less than .5 in taller than stock.
a 265/35 in the rear is also a good size, only .1 inches shorter than the fronts (in theory, as all tires differ considerably between sizes and manufacturers.)
so...235/40 front, 265/35 in the rear.
or, to be slightly more cost effective(and IMO a better tire fit) a 225/40/18 front and 255/35 in the back.
my 2 cents.

Nope, he wants to test out some of those tire/contact patch theories based upon the discussion about "wider is better".

do you have good reason to say that toyos suck......think about what you said...."toyos suck. except for the Ra1s". anyway back to the subject, i would also recommend the Nitto 555 tires. those are very nice as well. and if mone is not a problem and you want unbeatable traction than go with the the B/F Gs KDs, they are supposed to have a good amount of bite however tire wear is faster than most.
