Will these sizing fit on a Fd?

Fronts: 235/40/18 18x8.5 +45 offset
Rears: 255/45/18 18x9.5 +45 offset

If not what would be ideal. Any input would be greatly appreciated. The car suspension is currently stock.

 

Fronts are fine. You can run 265/35 out back.

 

Yep. Those wheel sizes/offsets/tire sizes are very good. The setup will understeer a bit more than with identical front/rear fitment. This may or may not be desirable...

EDIT: Just to make sure, 255/45 is NOT a good choice for the rears. 255/35 or 265/35 is your best bet.

 

So does that mean i wouldn't be able to run 255/45/18 at the rears at all? I'm getting these rims used so I would like to be able to run on the tires until I wear it out.

 

Those would be WAY too tall. It might not even fit, let alone drive/look good.

Just curious, why wouldn't identicial tire sizing for both the front and rears be ideal instead of all these various tire combination?

 

Why wouldn't it be ideal? It's actually preferable. The car stock came with 225/50 all around. Think you know better than the engineers who've spent countless hours and dollars R&Ding the suspension on your FD and got a nice balance of handling and civility? Some people run a staggered setup because their cars are laying down higher than stock horsepower and need the additional traction. Others do it because it looks "cool" having big fat wide rubber out back.
