I own a 1986 rx-7 and recently had brake problems. Seams that the seal blew in my right rear brake caliper causing my piston to sieze. I have the caliper and brake system torn down and have already started putting new parts on.

Question: What is the orangy-red goop that they give you? What do you use it for?
What is the solid red goop used for and what is it?

I have no problems with replacing the dust cover, seals, and rings but the goopy **** that they give you I have no clue as to how to use it. Need some help brake guru's.

 

Sorry I guess I should have stated that the kit I got is from Mazda. Its a seal kit for the right rear caliper. The kit includes two packs of orangey-red goop and one package of red goop.
