Mustang Wheel Weights

I finally got around to weighing the various mustang wheels i've acquired. If you've have weighed other models, please add to it!!
Aside from the GT wheels, these are all cheap knockoffs (from ebay or wherever). I weighed them all on a digital bathroom scale, so accurate, but no decimals.

17x8 OEM 98-04 GT - 17lbs
17x9 Bullitt - 24lbs
17x9 FR500 - 20lbs
17x10.5 FR500 - 23lbs

FR500's FTW!

My GT wheels were closer to 19-20 lbs. Different cast?

What is the offset on the FR500 wheels?

Mine too, the boxes they came in said 21lbs IIRC, and postal scales are accurate because they're tested and certified to make sure that you're paying them enough. I doubt the boxes weighed 4lbs each.

crap i measured the GT wheels quite a while ago. so maybe i am wrong, or maybe there are different casts, i dunno.

but i weighed the rest of the wheels just recently. i also weighed them with tires mounted, and referenced those against tire weights listed on tire rack. it all added up like it was supposed to.

New tires? If they're used they'll be lighter.

Mine even have a Ford logo and some identifying information engraved in the back, so if they're knock offs, they're very detailed knock offs, so it's probably not an issue with that.

I'd be very interested to compare some ~17lb GT wheels, if they really exist, to my ~20lb ones to see what's the difference and if there's any way to tell without weighing them to hopefully save people from getting stuck with the heavy ones.

+1, I could bump my heavy ones to street use.
