Mazdaspeed MS01, Gold

I just purchased a used set in 17x8, 17x9. The condition is meh. So i'm bringing them down to a rim restorer tomorrow. As far I know so far, the lip is machined chrome correct? I've been trying to find the paint code for the gold, if I could get that it would be awesome. I'm sure they could match it up close but if I can I want it original.

Another thing.. Did rays or anyone ever find center caps to go in the hub hole? I have the original caps, but I would prefer to not have that on if I can go without, and see my lug nuts.

Got the wheels in today!! It was more than I expected for sure. Lips clear coated, spokes painted gold, inside of wheels re-sprayed, and even the original rays screws cleaned up like new! I'm even surprised they sprayed underneath the center caps.
The only thing they didn't do that i'm a little dissapointed about but can't be to fussy, is the lips weren't wet sanded. I'm phoning panther to tell them all I listed above tomorrow, who know's maybe they will say oh sorry send them back and we'll wet sand them free of charge. Probly not though, that's what I WANT TO HEAR. Otherwise i'm very happy compared to what they did look like.

I'm debating whether or not to order some new mazdaspeed stickers. Probly will.

In case any one else is interested... Came to about $175 a wheel.

Before and after of the wheels coming at ya!!

DRUM ROLL PLEAAASE!!

Uh looks like they sprayed it the same color the wheels were when they were given them. What I did was took the color from the BACK of the wheel so it was a surface that wasn't sun faded and copied that. Also did they paint the wheels or powder coat them? Paint will wear faster...175 a wheel is pretty good though. I was charged 55 a wheel to machine and polish the lips (I separated the lip from the center myself) and they didn't clear coat then I was charged by a powdercoater 220 to coat all 4 centers.

I'm looking for new stickers as well..here's my pics:

Be grateful they cleared the lips...mine are scratched from the damn micro fiber I wash them with!

BTW Why did you have yours refinished?? They looked to be in great condition when you got them....look at what mine looked like when I got them:

Faded, curbed, stickers pealing, clear pealing...

Judging by your pics, they look more like a bronze. I almost like it better.

Here's a link to some stickers:

The condition to me wasn't that great. Especially because 2 wheels were alot more faded than the other 2.

Those aren't the right font. I want to make it just like the original sticker..prolly have to talk to my Vinyl guy. I just copied the back of the wheel color wise...but yeah I think they came out too bronze. Kinda wish they were lighter and more gold haha.

But yeah are yours painted or powder coated?

**** you know what. I don't even know. Probly going to go with painted?.... Even if they did come out to bronze they still look hella sexy. I'll post a pic of them on the car.

Oh and by the way. I found another seller on ebay claiming to have 100% OEM. So i'm going to give these a shot.

I don't know what I was thinking showing you those blacked out stickers. As those are not original. But these are. Just have to request text in black. I messaged him about getting 4, as this bid is only for 2.
