Go with 9.5 x 18, 47-mm offset, 265/35-18 tires front; 10.5 x 18, 44-mm offset, 295/30-18 tires rear. Wheels are Volk CE28N. Get them in Mercury Silver. Tires are Porsche OE rear fitments for 996 Carreras. They're available as Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetricos or Continental Sport Contact 2s. This is the definitive setup in asymmetric fr/rr fitments. There's nothing special needed, although, I would recommend rolling the fender lips for extra clearance going up and down driveways. The CE28Ns and Pirellis (or Continentals) stress performance rather than "pimp".

Hey SleepR1,
You don't by chance have any pics of an FD (preferably red) with those titanium silver CE28N's do you? I've seen the bronze ones on the FD in the volk catalog, but I wondered how those silver would look...
I'm also looking at the 57F's in an 18x10.5" for the rear but they only have a 42mm offset. That's how I stumbled on this post...
Anyone have opinions on what might look better? Help this newb!

Typed in "ce28n" in the search function on this forum. Here is the thread with the pics of a red FD and Titanium Silver CE28Ns

funny, i saw that when I looked this morning! Thanks though! Now I just need to find me a red FD with some 57f's on them
I think I'm gonna post a thread to see if there would be any interest in a set of Mazdaspeed MS-02's I have. I know they cost a fortune new and they were really hard to get, so maybe someone will be dying for a set
They are an acquired taste indeed.
here's a link to some pics...

Manny those are exactly the tire sizes I plan on running with the Kinesis wheels on the widebody FC. When I bought it they had drag style 335/30/18, but wheel is only 10.5 wide. So I got the 9.5 and 10.5 setup. I too arrived at that same conclusion about a year ago for my roadrace setup.
Street is different. hehe. Viper on that with the Works. 275 and 335.

BTW, 265/35-18 and 295/30-18 tire sizes are available in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Comps. These tires mounted on 9.5 and 10.5 x 18 Volk CE28Ns (47 and 45 mm offset, respectively), would make the ULTIMATE road race/open track setup (set up to understeer a little for safety's sake)
