Largest Rims for FD?

I was curious what is the largest rims you can put on a FD.

Also would a 19 x 8.5...39 offset work for the rear or even in the front?

That would work in the rears but 19s are really only for show cars IMO. 18s are also too large unless you want/need to run really wide tires, like 285/30s.

Also, a 19 will be easily damaged due to the extremely short sidewall that will be required.

These aren't Escalades, man!

I've seen 20"s on an FD

IMO anything over 18"s just looks rediculous.

8.5 ET 39 in back would look stupid. Use at least 10mm spacers to get it right. I use 8.5" all 4 corners and ET 34 with 6mm spacers on the rear. no problems at all even on track.

Were they actually rolling under their own power, or just sitting there looking ridiculous?

Well, he does live in Oz, so they're lucky enough to have an s7 available to them so that they can make the differentiation .

Oh man, that is ugly. I think I am going to stick with 17's. Because of cheaper tires and will certainly weigh less than 18's. If you buy the same style of rims of course.

To answer your question in the other direction, folks have been able to squeeze 11" wide rears, and 10" wide fronts on FDs w/ coilovers, trailing arms, fender rolling, and no flares.

Yup. My Fikses are considered light weight wheels, but when I switch back to stockers for the road course I can tell an immediate difference in first gear acceleration and perceived throttle response in all gears. Of course, I'm not laying as much rubber down on the road, so traction is even more of an issue

Alba "Battle" is such a fierce name for such barely-functional hunks of metal. I think they should change the name to Alba Shiny Slouch or something like that. Or maybe they were talking about "battling" to get up the driveway without tearing your fenders off.

These 19"s don't look that bad. I think they look pretty good actually

The tires have the same sidewall ratio of 18"s
And they're for sale too!
