Klunking noise when aggressively shifting!

Please help me out.

When driving normally or shifting normally I have no noise or problem. When shifting aggressively I get a "klunk' in what seems like the rear under the car.

I would like to narrow the problem down so I can go on with my summer. It has been suggested that it is the PPF (power plant frame) being cracked or damaged. It has also been suggested to be a bushing in the rear of the car above or behind the differential.

Any suggestions or confirmations of what the problem could be?

Maybe someone out there has experienced the same problem and has remedied it.

Any advice or suggestion are welcome and will be checked out and fixed if found to be the culprit. Maybe I'll just change/fix all suggested issues and hope for the best?

Thanks in advance,
Tim

No doubt, It's the differential bushing. It's purpose is to act like a bump stop.

I had this same problem. Is your shifter moving around alot with throttle changes? If so it is definatly the PPF. I checked it for cracks without removing it and didnt see any, so i replaced the diff and motor mount bushings to no effect. When I removed the PPF to do the diff bushings I noticed a huge crack. Replaceing it solved the problem. Before replaceing your bushings remove the PPF and inspect it for cracks, it may save your alot of time and money.

That is an FC part. I think the OP is talking about an FD.

PPF = power plant frame = thing that connects the front of the diff to the end of the tranny on an FD.
