k-sport reviews

I've been searching around some in this section and found that many people really beat on the k-sports, but my friend just got some for his mr2 and the look excellent. I have also read many good reports from other types of car owners. I would like some input from those who have used these (or the d2s/k2s) with how they liked them.

by the way, I'm mostly curious about street, and maybe some track/autocross use.

thanks,
-John

FWIW I have ksports on my Nissan Sentra Spec V and I am VERY impressed with them.

They seem to be built very well.
No fitment issues at all.
Huge range of ride height adjustment.
You can get different spring rates.
On full soft, stiffer than stock, but totally manageable.
On full stiff, anything but glass-smooth roads is painful.

I don't like how there are no "clicks" when adjusting the dampening. I just turn it in 1/4 turns.

For what I paid I am very happy.

thanks for the heads up. We just put the set on the mr2 this weekend and drove it for about 5 hours. ride was a little bouncy at first, but when he got them dialed in it really wasn't to intollerable. The car handles much better that stock. It just sticks to the road...i'm pretty impressed so far. I will wait and see how they last for a while before I decide anything for my rx7. the real test will be when we go up to deals gap this weekend. I'll let you know what happens..

Did he get an alignment after install of the coilovers?

Brand new suspension + no alignment + driving fast on public roads = recepie for an accident.

Alignment is as important, actually much moreso, to handling as the actual suspension parts.
