Just installed tein flex coilovers on my FD. What do I need to do next?

Someone told me I need to get the suspension tuned. I'm a little confused on what that entails. ???

Alignment? Anything else?

I want to lower the rear more. The front is exactly where I want it to be.

Well, adjust the ride height to what you want.....if you don't know how to do that, how the hell did you install them?

Once you get ride height set, you will need a full alignment. Go to a performance shop to do this, not Pep Boys. To really take full advantage of the coilovers, you should get the car corner-weighted, but if you aren't regularly tracking the car, I would just get the ride heights even and then aligned.

+1, you def. want to get an alignment done.

tein flex are fine.
very comfy ride, surprisingly.

-put the car in the air and make sure the springs aren't loose. if they are, tighten the collars.
-if you want to adjust height, do it by the shock body.
-if you want to get the suspension "tuned" properly, take it to a shop and get it corner weighed and aligned.
-if you don't think you're that hardcore, throw your bodyweight in the driver seat and tweak the heights until the car is more or less on all fours. then go get it aligned.

the end!

sounds like u got them out the box and then put them on
id check them over and make sure everything is tight
your also going to have to regularly check the nuts on top to make sure they dont come loose either

I was able to corner ballance my car very closely by simply measuring and getting all of the fender lip heights exactly the same (25" in my case). It was amazing how close it was on the scales.

Once you get the heights set, like Rynberg says, go get an alignment.

Measuring ride height at each corner does not replace corner weighting. You can very easily have a car that measures fairly level and yet still have the corner weights crazily out of whack.

I could very easily take the same car and set the perches so the crossweights were 80%/20% and then set them so the crossweights were 50%/50% and yet have the ride height at all four corners be the same in both cases.

Tape measures do not replace corner scales.
