Springs and tires for Auto X
I will be looking for a good set of performance springs for Auto X this summer and i was wondering what would be good springs?
looking to spend $300-$500 (roughly)
Preferably NO lowering, but no more than 1.5".
as for tires I would like something that would fit on the stock 15" rim. At first i was considering Bridgestone Potenzas until i found out that they don't fit the stock rim. Any other suggestions?
oh yeah and Asenzis are out, auto x in my area considers those R-compund and i wanna stay street.

This is probably best for the Suspension or Racing sections of the site - I use a Ground Control coilover setup with Eibach ERS springs - the kit for all 4 corners is around $400 ish, and you can customize your spring rates within reason - I think I did 440# fronts and 300# rears - if you plan to drive it, you may want to go a little softer. The Ground Control setup is height adjustable, but don't let them talk you into the 7" rear - I'm pretty sure you want 6" front and 8" rear -
please someone correct me if I'm wrong -
Ground Control has somewhere in some computer that 6" front and 7" rear is what works for the 2nd Gen RX7 - and it does, but only if you dial the front all the way down and the rear all the way up - otherwise you drive around looking like you're always launching hard.
I use Kumho Ecsta 711's, but they just discontinued those. Grassroots Motorsports (I think Grassrootsmotorsports.com is the site) did a huge writeup comparing tires, and like you said the Azenis were way up there, but there were 2 or 3 others that were close.

Took Bridgestone Potenzas off my 'vert for a set of the BFGoodrich g-Force Sport. Handling change was night and day. Just note they are summer tires.
