i really hate these springs

i bought this car with tein lowering springs already installed and their nothing but a headache. the ride sucks, cant get a floor jack underneath unless drive up on a peice of wood or pre -jack the car with a smaller jack, always scraping the front bumper, etc...... now my question is that if i get a real set of coilovers would i gain some height back?

cant be that low on just springs. Get a low profile race jack and angle the car for driveways. As for the ride quality, maybe you have blown or crappy shocks?

i've heard a lot of mixed reviews about tein springs for wrx's and STi's. the negative side: they drop the car too much and aren't stiff enough. they put too much weight on stock shocks and end up with a bad ride quality. i'd imagine that is your problem, and maybe even so far as driftdreamsss said, maybe it blew your shocks.

the height of the coilovers totally depends on what you get.

yeah their just the stock shocks so i wouldnt be surprised if they are blown. he used to drive the car down a lime dirt road (the entire underside is coated in it). so my guess is their probably shot.

Coilovers are height adjustable, so yes, you'll gain as much height back as you need.

If you get adjustable coilovers you should be able to get some height back.

On the Fd, Howard Coleman highly recommends the Tein S tech springs with the stock touring shocks. That's my next mod.
