Red face I NEED INFO HELPPPPP??? FD HUB protrusion?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to collect some DATA to see if a certain wheel in a certain HIGH offset will be able to use a centercap on the FD.

Can anyone please tell me the distance between

"ROTOR HAT" AND FURTHEST DISTANCE OUT FOR THE "HUB PROTRUSION/DUST CAP/AXLE NUT" etc.... FRONT AND REAR.

Basically need to see how deep the centerbore of the wheel needs to be for accomodating centercaps.

THIS IS FOR ALL FD BENEFIT. hehe. Since I have never owned one I can't go into my garage and measure. It sounds so lame considering I sell all FD Fitments. lolz.

THANKS A BUNCH GUYS,

Rishie

i.e. In the dead center of the rotor of this picture.

ANYBODY CAR IN THE AIR RIGHT NOW? I NEED FRONT AND REAR PLEASE.

Ive got multiple measurements for you. I can also take off the rotor completely and measure from the hubring if you want since the measurements vary by what rotor is being used.

FRONT:

I noticed on both cars, there was a dust cap on the hub. I made measurements with and without that cap. With the cap from the top of the cap. Without the cap, measurement was made from the exposed top of the axel. Measurements were give or take a tenth of a MM.

Endless BBK WITH CAP - ~19.1 mm
WITHOUT CAP- ~ 10 mm

Aftermarket CrossDrilled Rotors (Dont Remember the brand. I think PowerStop)
WITH CAP - ~20.1 mm
WITHOUT CAP - I didnt measure, deal with it.

REARS:

Both cars are measured WITHOUT CAPS. The lack of caps were with both cars in the rear.

Racing Brake 2 Pc Rotor - ~ 22mm
Aftermarket CrossDrilled - ~24mm

Auto RND is my baby's daddy.

Rishie, now go take a $hit. Holding it cant be healthy for your body.

Oh Huy, YIPEEEE. That's great to know and I'm glad it's been documented on the board. Your attention to detail is astounding. The effect of rotor variance will also change the position of your wheel fitment for those "mm" minded folk.

Oddly enough this is probably one measurement that's never been spoken about.

This has now become an issue with guys who want to run "LOW DISK" wheels to get lip or concavity but DON'T WANT A BUTTON CAP.

Thanks a bunch Huy. I really appreciate the time you put into that for me. I can now send this info with some manufacturers to cross reference centercap options.

Thanks, Rishie

Do you want me to pull the rotor off as well and measure from the hub-ring?

I think it would make for a more accurate measurement. Again though, depending on the rotor used, the measurement will be different.

No not necessary. If we're both on the same page then you measured from the rotor hat which is the "mating surface" for the wheel pad/disk. This is my point of origin needed for this measurement.

Thanks, rishie
