How to rotate tires

On an FD, is it best to move them just from front to back/back to front, or do you want to move them in a cross patern from RL to FR, and RR to FL, etc?

If your tires are directional you have to move them from front to back and back to front only. If they are not directional you can cross them.

Just front to back back to front. Dont cross them.

I was under the impression that RWD cars go like this... drive wheels are never crossed. The rears go straight up front and the fronts cross and go back. At least that's what we do at the dealership, i'm probably wrong though
