Help me pick the right tire size for my vert wheels

I have some vert wheels on my T2, with factory size tires on them (205/60/15 i think). Any way, I would like something wider but don't know what is too wide for these wheels. The car is a street car. I would also like them to be as close to the same height as they are now, if not a bit taller. I was thinking a 215, but don't know the proper sidewall height to keep it the same height.

215/55/15's should be close. choose one of tireracks data sheets and look at the height and rpm's (rev per mile) and that will give you a good idea of what you want. i have/had 215/60/15s on my vert, and they work ok, it just makes the car a tad slower....
