Help me choose a new suspension...please!
Help me choose a new suspension...please!
I like the way the stock touring suspension feels for daily driving (taking girlfriend out to dinner, etc.), but I am also looking to start autocrosing my car a couple times a month. I have no clue what the differences are between the different shock/spring or coilover systems out there.
On my previous FD, I had the tokico 5-way adjustables with votgland springs. I was fine with them , but for some reason, someone got the idea stuck in my head that I need coilovers for better handling at the autoX. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Again, I'd like a smooth as possible ride for local use, but a system I'll be happy with at the track too. I know I want the best of both worlds, which isn't so easy, but The best combination would be good to have!
Thanks in advance for all your help,
Ian

You might try the suspension part of the forum. There are many proven setups that you can look at. I reviewed all of the kits some time ago but there are more setups available now. You might still find what I have on my site interesting though.
eibach springs all the way. The get stiffer exponentially. Coilovers are thinner and help if you want to be running very wide rims but they are not neccisary for autoX. There are so many features that you can adjust and if you dont know how to, there is no point of spending a couple grand. get the springs
aite go by apexi pro n1 coilovers and all your problems are solved. Never been in a car with better suspension then the pro n1s they are amazing, pure performance. They are made for there race cars, so its cool to own something that you know actually gets used on race cars.
