HERES HOW... if you look on the lower mount, you'll notice that those are actually two bushings press-fit into the lower arm that are just a smidge too close together to get the shock BACK in right?

Get a bolt, nut, and two large washers, and put them through the rearward bushing... make sure the rearward washer is large enough to contact the lower arm, and not the bushing... when you tighten the bolt, it should start to squeeze the bushing back towards the rear of the car (you'll notice a little gap there)... you only need a little bit so the shock will go in easily. it'll tighten back up when you tiighten the large bolt.

...... OK... feed the bottom of shock into the UPPER A arm, and past the brake line. You should be able to push it down and towards the back of the wheel well enough to get the upper mount past the fender lip... THEN up into the shock tower, and THEN into the lower A-arm mount. You still have the upper A-arm loose, right? (you can get some extra play by loosening the brake line fitting bolted to the front of it. (i JUST did this install last weekend)

I just had exact same problem. Shock is very tight fit into lower arm. How to insert it easily?

I'm about to do this job too. If anyone has done this before and can give some tips on installing Koni shocks I would appreciate it too.

I found needed info. There is a bushing in lower arm that you can knock out a little so Shock will go in easily.

I did that and it worked. Other then that I just went by FSM and everything seem to work fine.
