Have alot of miles on my Chasis..what to replace on my suspension?

This all came about from driving my friends S2000. When I drive my car after I drive his I feel like my car is a bucket of bolts. I have alot of miles now, what suspension parts will make a big difference to replace. Please don't be a smart *** and say "all of them". I do have the toe links and trailing arms. everything else is OEM bone stock.

I have alot of play in my steering (153K original miles). When on the highway I can probably move my wheel an inch to the left or right without affecting the direction of the car.

Also, I was told my bushings are shot. What affect will that have on my car. To be honest I don't know what Im missing since this is the only 7 I drive.

What do I do about it?

1... Replace all pillowball bushings in the rear... total of 6
Replacement instructions Fairly easy, only one scraped knuckle!

2.... Replace the rear shock mount bushings on the upper wishbone...

3.... Replace Diff mount Bushings... Not cheap to do but gets rid of annoying thump.

4.... find someone who upgraded their R1's shocks earily and buy their used ones for cheap unless you want new ones (mine work fine)

5.... Unabotom(sp) bushing set ($650) I'm waiting on the cash for that.

6.... If you have the touring model w/o a front strut tower brace get one off ebay for less than $30

7.... take the rest of the money you saved up and go buy dinner for yourself.

hope this helps, pm me w/ q's if you have any,
Ryker
P.S. I heard doing the bushings is the biggest PITA!!
P.P.S. Be ready to burn about a g in the process....

My old fd had the same mileage and my rack and pinion had a lot of freeplay, i would check the rack and the outter tie rods and replace them if needed and after doing all that suspension stuff i would definitely do an alignment. I looked through my receipts and the first owner changed the rear bushings 2 times in 60k under waranty. They seem to wear out pretty quickly.

glad I could help... I would do the pillow ***** first since they caused me the most trouble along w/ the shocks and shock bushings in back then work from there... I forgot about the PS Rack... I'm going to be installing my *NEW* used one in a couple of weeks... everything seems to break after awhile...

P.S. Good luck and hope you can come up w/ all the $for this crap and TAKE YOUR TIME... breaking stuff makes the project more expensive I have learned...
