G35 wheels on my 3rd gen.. What do you think?

Tried my friends G35 wheels on the 7 today. What do you guys think??
They are 18" and seem to fit well. Only need lower profile tires to be perfect.
They don't stick out and fill the wheel well nicely.
He will be selling them soon so I was thinking about it..

They look good as hell on there, really good fit. I dont like the rims themselves that much but they fit great. I was looking into the 5 double spoked concave wheels from the G35 Coupe but they only come in 19".

Damn, offset seems perfect. Looks like 30-35+??

I always thought 18s looked too big for FD's, unless you have a serious drop and/or skirts to complement the bigger wheels.

If i ever back to 18s again, i would only do CCW's.

But those wheels seem ok, not my style but doesnt look bad.

After some quick googling it looks like Acura TL wheels 17X8.0 ALLOY +45mm offset 5-114.3 64.1hub bore 12X1.5 NUT 19MM HEAD (235/45-17 recommended size) would be a decent fitment.

I think they look just fine. The current tire profile fills the wheel well nicely. If you went lower profile, I think you'd need to lower the car to keep the gap from being too big.

I think you need to go to a lower profile do you rub the fender when you turn the wheel all the way? I did thats why I have 2 different rims on my car and I couldnt get recon with all 4 of the g35s lol.

If I am not mistaken they are 18x8 with a staggered fitment. I don't remember the offsets but they are different front to rear. The wheels are actually stamped on the backside with front/rear so that they are mounted correctly.
As for the tires.. they currently have 245/45 on rears and 225/45 on front. I believe I need to go to a 40 series on both to get better clearance.

Yes.. I like those better as they are Forged BUT like you said.. they are 19's and I personally think 19's are to big for our FD's..

The MB's are back on the 1st Gen since it has been completed and running again. I currently have the stock FD wheels on and it just looks to plain...

Dave...

Car is lowered.. Currently sits on Eibach Sportlines with GAB adjustable struts. It probably looks high because the car was just lowered off the jack to take the pics and the stock FD wheels are still mounted on the other side.. Only put the wheels on the passenger side to see how they looked.

Nah, only the tire size is staggered on those ones. The 19" forged g35 wheels are staggered and some of the 350Z's like track model wheels and the nismo edition ones are staggered also, but touring 350z 18's and normal G35 wheels are 18x8+30 front and rear with 225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 rear stock. I think as far as oem nissan wheels go some r33 gtr wheels would be pretty nice, 17x9+30 and forged.

good to know the G35 wheels fit flush, I've been thinking about them quite a bit lately.

I don't know much about the G35 rims, but I do know that the 350Z rims are actually a 17x8 up front and a 17x8.5 in the rear. As far as offsets are concerned I would have to go look but they are staggered stock...

Those G35 rims look pretty good, offsets are perfect! I do agree with you that it needs to be a bit lower profile tire. Those nissan guys are pretty proud of thier used rims from what I have seen though. I was looking for some stock 18's or stock G35 19's for my Z and they want as much as a nice aftermarket rim for thier stockers...

I am pretty sure they are staggered as far as offsets go. We had a set on my sons 240SX and they are differerent front to rear.. if they weren't then I don't think Nissan would have stamped Front and Rear on each wheel.
I also like the way they concave in the middle giving the look of a wide rim. I am still NOT sold on them 100% but the selling price is decent at $500 for rims and tires. My other dilemma is that the tires are new and it would be a shame to have to go buy new tires..

I like how they look too, and they look to fit perfectly, with lower profile tires as you mentioned.

Did you mean 17x7.5 and 17x8? I didnt know there were any 17x8.5 oem Z wheels. The version 2 touring have 18x8.5 rears.
http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Wheel_Specifications

You should be able to get the stock 18's for $400-$500 used, I just sold my stock G35 coupe 18's for $450 with almost new tires on them. The 19's of course are not going to be cheap because they are forged rays wheels and of much higher quality than most aftermarket wheels. And alot of G35 guys upgrade their early model cars to the forged 19's so they will probably always hold a pretty good price.

I really like them. I know the wheel patterns are the same, but are the hubs the exact same size or do they need hub rings?

Offset is perfect! very nice

Not sure about the hub size but they did tighten down fully so the hub is either the same or smaller as to not affect the mounting.
