Front Sway Bar bushings

1986 RX-7 GXL 152k miles

Recently I have been working on the steering (new tie rods). While the front sway bar was off anyways, I decided to order new Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings from Mazdatrix for said bar.

However, a friend pointed out that mixing OEM rubber bushings (on everything else) and poly bushings (bar and bar endlinks) might be a bad idea. We decided that throwing this question to you guys would be a good idea.

Any thoughts?

Most people who have replaced their sway bars have upgraded their SB bushings to urethane but have not changed their other stock bushings. I have uethane bushings and Heim joint (metal) end links.

Should not be a problem...

Now, if you were talking about putting urethane in one of the control arms, but not the other, then he might have a valid point.

Thanks everyone, I can see my friend's point in that all the suspension pieces are working together and interacting constantly. I see where he is thinking, but I didn't think it would be an issue either.
