fitment check on a second gen

Alright. Will a set of 26x10.5x16 M/T ET Street Radial, on a stock turbo/10ae wheel fit on an FC with a rolled fender? Or will it rub in funky places?
Suspension is HKS Hipermax Drag coilovers.

I could be wrong but a service technician at a Discount Tire said the rears will fit without issues. As for the fronts, I've heard 225 is the widest before it rubs the fender with variations of tire brands.
I have no experience with coilover fitments.
Sorry if this does not help. I'm sure someone with more knowledge/experience will chime in.

If that backs fit, Ill be happy, a 225 is all Id need up front. If that.

I don't think you'll have any trouble as far as rubbing goes, but a 10.5" wide tire on a 7" wide wheel... I don't know much about drag racing, but that seems like a little bit of a stretch.

Have you tried asking in the drag racing section of the forum? There might be more knowledgeable people there that have run setups like this.

if its drag racing a pair of spares/skinnies on the front is what you want

I dont think I would run that wide of a rear tire on a 7in wheel. A 9 in would be good.

255/45/16

I just put 255/45/16s on a 87 T2 today. Stock rims and suspension, back has plenty of room, front appears to sit on the spring just barely but doesnt touch inner or outer fender and no loss of steering. I think the rims could have held another 20 or so from the looks of it, they aren't stretched that bad at all. Gonna drop the Tokico coils I have had laying around on this weekend, I am hoping it will make some room up front. If not I will have to put spacers on and will give feedback on size needed through trial and error. Brand is some new stuff, hook-up vs guinnea pig, we will see how these Nexen tires do.

I am pretty sure that is the same size tire that J-Rat runs. He has been running it for years with no issue. He also runs it on a stock rim.

OK, coils are on the front. Clearance between the tire and the side of the Tokico illuminati shock is less than 1/16th but it does clear. I am considering puting a small spacer like a 3mm on just to give myself some room but I think I will drive it a few miles first and check it. If no rub I may take it out one night this weekend and drive it to try and push it. If still no rub, I will most likely pass on the spacer and just monitor it. Again this is a 255/45/16 Nexen 3000 on a stock 87 T2 rim.

My suggestion: If you want to keep the same size all the way around and aren't positive on fitment would be to mount the 2 on the front and check, if they fit you are good, if they rub move them to the back and get smaller for the front.
