Thread Revival!

I was looking into getting the Toyo T1-R's in 245/45/16. Will there be a considerable decrease in tread life if I go with this size (vs. the stock 225/50/16)?

width won't affect tread life all else being equal.

I bought Potenzas RE-11 last year from tire rack in that exact size. I'm currently Autocrossing on them.

Yup, Tirerack has them, the Toyo T1R is probably the cheapest and good rating of the few available 245/45/16 you can find. I bought my set last year =) A friend of mine who instructs Autocross told me they're not bad tires.
