Hey all. Long time user. Not so frequent poster. Usually get my answers from experience and trial/ error. That said I'm looking for some advice....
I currently have wheels off of a 99 mustang GT 17x8 with 30mm offset. 245/40-17 rear and 225/45-17 front everything clears great now but it's a truck. And I feel like I can cut a corner better with my stock 99 Civic than my FC.
I was wanting to go with ground control coilovers and adjustable upper mounts. Combined with KYB AGX's. I have had the car for 15 years and counting so being able to just change shocks is a big bonus for me.
My main question is will I have any clearance issues with this setup? And what kind of spring rates would you recommend? It's a weekend fun car that sees the drag strip occasionally an a ton of back country roads.
I have done a fair bit of searching over the years but I figured I'd ask the internet myself.
TL: DR got some mustang wheels wanna get low what should I put on my fc.
i pretty much has the setup you propose, AGX's with ground control stuff. with the AGX's a spring rate of 300/200, or 350/250 works really well. the shocks are happy, the ride is still nice, and you get the big handling benefits. in a track car we would run 450/350, but you need stiffer shocks, and the ride on the street is not great.
