extended lug nut and spacer

so I wanted to play it safe and buy extended lug nuts to go with a spacer.

so I purchased these lugnuts
Amazon.com: Gorilla Automotive 21133ET Extended Thread Small Diameter Lug Nut - 12-Millimeter by 1.5 Thread Size - Pack of 20: Automotive Amazon.com: Gorilla Automotive 21133ET Extended Thread Small Diameter Lug Nut - 12-Millimeter by 1.5 Thread Size - Pack of 20: Automotive

however, the spacer I purchased has holes that are too small to fit these lug nuts.

any recommendations on a spacer that is 6 to 10mm that fits these extended lug nuts?

Thanks!

You have good intentions but extended lugs wont do anything for you in this position. When using wheel spacers youre pushing the wheel away from the hub effectively reducing the length of the factory stud. The way to remedy this is to use extended wheel studs, not extended lug nuts. the extended studs make up for the loss of length from the wheel spacer. Of course the best fix is to get proper fitting wheels. Buying those lugs will put you in no better position than you would be using the lugs you currently have. I would advise against the spacer and recommend a different set of wheels.

Not really.

I've been using lug nuts like this on track for years with a 5mm spacer.

The length of the stud doesn't matter so much that you reclaim the thread space lost with the spacer. They work. I'd just put bigger holes in the spacer if it's hub centric.

Looks like these lugs extend beyond the contact point at the wheel, so it screw in further compare to traditional lugs to get extra bite to the stud.

OP, just make sure the spacer is hub centric and you should be ok, 1/4" is about 6mm so I wouldn't go too much above that.

Yes, the extension on the lug nut goes inside the wheel lug hole further, beyond where the normal acorn shape would, so you get the thread space back.

FYI, it works on most wheels. I have three sets, and it works on my two sets of track wheels (CCW and Technomagnesio), but they are tight on my BBS street wheels. You could probably open the holes a little to make it smoother.
