how do drag radial hold up on turns? Im not really looking for a street slick, Im looking for something that will last me atleast 7k miles, I believe the nitto's will do it since there harder then other drag radials.
nittos are harder which makes it harder to hook up with them...hence the reason the bfg's are the choice if u are looking to do some drag/street racing because of the softer and stickier rubber...
the softer the less the last
Im trying to find a tire that best fits my driving. Im basically looking for tire that will hook from 20ish mph roll. Whats are simi slicks? Are those the same as ET's
How to drag radials take corners?

Go with the nittos. If you air them up all the way the working just as good as most shaved track tires. And then for the track or weekend drag race deflate em and there a good drag tire. I've had good experiences with them and know many other people have.
On that size I would go 315/35/17
Edit: Yes ET Streets are semi slicks. Don't be caught in the rain with them and don't take corners fast

so with a 17X9.5, will a 315/40/17 nitto tire work? That seems way to wide. How much does that tire run for? Also where can I look up the price of nitto's I dont see them on the tire rack page.
I know discount tire carries them. You can run a larger drag radial than you normally would on the wheel. But it will diminish handling. I would probably stick with 275/40/17. I wanna say there 175 a tire.
I checked for the 315, it was like 185.
vosko you car must be lowered a good bit. I old 18's were 275/40/18's and I had no fender rubing. Or are you talking about the front? I wont be using them up front. Im still looking at my issues that I ill have. If I have too many I will just go back with the 18's, but i'll still have a big traction problem.
Also will a 315 work on the rear with out having to go coilover or fender rolling?

315's are too big!! 285's would be about the limit without a custom rim lol

i liked the 275's alot it sorta bulged a little but you have no choice with 17's... they all bulge. 18's you can get lower profile and no bulging. on the performance side i liked them alot also. lots of grip and very nice handling

I dont think theres a 18 inch tire that will help out on traction is there? I know theres a drag radial they make for a 18 but I wouldnt exspec 4k miles out of them with no luanches.
