Question Do I need pillow ball mounts?

Just wondering. I ordered the tein coilovers HA package but no pillow ball mounts. I didnt want them but I read a post to where they actually had to have them, is this true? Can I just use the coilovers with out aftermarket pillow ball mounts?

Thank you,
Jonas

I an not familiar with tein only w/ ground control. It should come with the kit...anyway, I had add a like directly to tein for details on their mounts.

Jonas:

I am installing my HA's this weekend w/pillowballs. I'll take a look at the stock mounts and see if it would work without them, I think it should.

Thank you for the replies. Matt that would be great if you could get back to me. Would I need an alignment ifI intend to drop the rear but not the front?

Dremel out? Well I really dont want to get the pillow mounts because that would transfer so much road through the body and make it all sqeeky and ride way too hard. How long did it take you to dremel it out?

spray wd-40 on the TEIN pillowballs and it wont squeak. as for being to hard, just adjust the damper on them.
It took me about 30mins on each pillowball..i had to dremel the rubber away from the center for the springs to sit right.

Anytime you lower/raise a car you need to do an alignment. If you drop it an inch and get an alignment, then later drop it some more you need another alignment.

check your PM. there should be a grinder that came with the kit. that is what you need to make the stock mounts bigger inorder for you to fit the new shocks in.
